South African Fencing Information
News
GFA News: I have put up the updated rankings after the 2016 GFA Closed Championships.
SAAFA News: Here is a report from the 2013 World Anti-Doping Agency conference. Doping penalties are getting tougher. Here is information for the parents/coaches of U11 and U13 fencers.
COMPETITION ORGANISERS: When importing fencers into a new competition, please use the "Memory -> Load" option on the "Fencers" tab, and then import the relevant ranking files. This will automatically bring in all fencers already on the ranking list with correct clubs and provinces. Please do not enter all the fencers manually or make changes to the format. Please create any new fencers in the same format. This will save all of us a lot of time.
VERY IMPORTANT: For those of you running competitions, please revert back to using Engarde 8. All freeware Engarde 9 programs have now been locked. I cannot export ranking information out of Engarde 9 any more so it makes updating rankings very time-consuming. I have to do everything manually now. I have put up the Engarde 8 installation and English language pack files if anyone needs them. If SAAFA purchases Engarde 9 licenses and distributes them, this will not be necessary. Until then, please use Engarde 8. There is very little functionality difference between the two version.
